What is it?
Co-parenting is the term used to describe how you will parent after the separation.
In the early days of a separation it is difficult to separate your hurt and anger with your partner from their relationship with the children. The children have the right to a healthy and safe relationship with both parents and all grandparents. This will go a long way to mitigate the harm the conflict and break up has caused. It is damaging and harmful to the children to involve them in the conflict. The children love you both and should not feel they need to take sides. Mediation can assist you to be heard in a safe space. It is designed for parents in conflict to find the path through the conflict to the destination of healthy co-parenting.
